Hi and welcome! I've built this site to implement, test and illustrate the technologies learned over course of my study at NCI.
The Technologies used here include HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP & MySQL
Club Website is a simple website that could be used by clubs or organisations to publicise themselves, fundraising events & publications. This site is built using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript at the front, connecting to PHP with a MySQL database at the back.
TTC is a relatively simple site which consists of HTML, CSS (internal & external), JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX. JQuery is used to achieve the bouncing ball effect and AJAX is used to display the descriptive hints.
The Converter App is a JavaScript driven application which takes any number entered and simultaneously converts it from Cms to Ins, Ins to Cms, from Cels to Fahr and finally from Fahr to Cels
The DeeSee Logo, an original design to be used with all ventures & enterprises
The StarWords Logo obviously borrows from the Sci Fi genre however it's the colours make it more appealing to the younger generation.
The X?lore Icon was devised for the X?lore App. This image encapsulates both the name and the essence of the activity.
The X?lore Logo further emphasizes the quiz type nature of the activity by substituting the letter P for a question mark.
As well as the Technologies shown left, I have achieved a high degree of competence manipulating and parsing data using JSon and XML. I have both built and consumed Restful API's including commercially available API's such as Irish Rail's Timetables.
For my Undergrad I built an application in using the .NET Entity Framework which analysed sales data and then produced reports that were viewable on a PC and an iPhone, enabling both management and staff to monitor performance in real-time.Read more...
The 4-Sight Flash Video was prepared as part of a 1st year Multimedia Project. The concept is a little far fetched and the video itself is somewhat "Tongue in Cheek" but happily it achieved the desired result. All animated images were produced in Adobe Fireworks and animated using Adobe Flash, the sound track was recorded and mixed using Garageband.
The X?lore video was prepared as a promotional video for the X?lore project which was short listed for the Deans Prize for Entrepreneurism. The footage was filmed on a Panasonic HD camera and edited using iMovie.
This video is embedded using the Quicktime Plug-in, unfortunately the HTML5 <Video> tag isn't yet fully cross-browser compatible.
